Buntingford Tennis Club Development Plan

 

The astro-turf courts on Bowling Green Lane is the temporary home of the Tennis Club.

We have been working on the development of a Tennis Club that will be a sectioned off area on the unused playing field at Edwinstree Middle School on Bowling Green Lane. It is planned that it will have 3 outdoor,

flood-lit courts with an all weather surface, a kid's zone and Clubhouse alongside.

The facility will be a dedicated Tennis centre and not used for any other reason. The schools in Buntingford would have primary use of the facility during the school day with the Club having use at all other times.

Edwinstree School, site of the new Club   Here is an aerial view of the Edwinstree School site. The Tennis Club has been offered the land that you'll see on this picture, to the right hand side of the current tennis courts, underneath the white building and just in front of the row of tall trees. The site is large enough for a Clubhouse, 3 tennis courts and 2 kids zone courts! It will be fenced off for security and should have it's own car park. It's all early days with the planning permission and architect designs but we have high hopes!
